Fire Drill

Our one and only outing during the maestros absence was to find the new(ish) spot in Brisbane where four layers of overpasses are visible.

Exposure:8s  Aperture: f/5.6  ISO: 400  Focal Length: 10 mm

We quietly traversed around residential towers, trolled under a bridge for 30m and popped up in a large area adjacent to an active rail yard. It did not prove as interesting as expected and a good angle was hard to find – especially one not in a completely exposed position.

Minutes after setting up a fire alarm went off in the rail yard and firetrucks started pouring down the access road, meters from our location. After Chris excitedly exclaimed “A fireman just looked directly at me!” we decided to leave – I was out of ideas anyway. Chris got the fireman’s number and they plan to meet up sometime.

Thanks. As far as I know the same route to the spot is still accessible. There is such vast construction still going on in that area – might even be 5 layers now!
