This industrial estate may be one of the oldest in the city. There were no signs of horrible tilt panel monstrosities, just classic post war industrial goodness.

We were mostly scattered around a long narrow alley dividing two buildings. Some were using lights, flashes. Others were creating future Benny Hill style animated gifs (we all hope anyway). Thankfully Sven bought some wardrobe pieces to dress up the scene a bit – as lets face it a fluorescent lit alley is going to need some help looking interesting.

This location is also quite close to the mysterious Vortex Sven and Chris has previously discovered. It is odd, I entered the Vortex at 20:43:14 according to my phone and emerged 2 minutes earlier…perhaps I am being paranoid after having recently watched Primer on Sven’s recommendation. Good movie.

We all concluded that this confided space with an industrial backdrop would be a good place to try and setup a more elaborate shot using more sophisticated lighting. Chris and Sven pointed me to the many incredible examples of Greg Crewdson.

It must be said. Top shot….Jason Statham, future scene from Transporter 4.
(based on head/facial hair arrangement only)
Nice touch with the warm lighting in the first shot
Too bad about the mysterious, bearded non-law abiding citizen who is clearly standing on the wrong side of the sign…
And such a fine vehicle provided said light!
As for the Bearded Gentleman, his presence in such a place can only be explained by the theory that he came…from the Vortex.
“Bearded Gentleman” now available from Mattel. Powers include: Deadly Puns and Extreme Politeness.
Nice top shot, like the high contrast. Out of interest what colour balance did you have on the vortex.
Also i think the model in the white suit is fantastic, wheres his credit
Top shot was cross processed towards green I think – LR preset I made ages ago.
The model in the white suit vaporised shortly after that shot was taken. The Vortex is being blamed but those on site know he was eroded away by his own toxic arse gas
