Reckless Abandon

After a very disenchanting evening of false starts and no gos we ran across this abandoned section of a factory. The funny thing is we have passed it on many occasions without a second glance.

It is quite a large area and is adjacent to a section of the factory which is still operational. Interiors were VERY dark on account of the fact it was a new moon. These pics are very rushed and quite average but we shall have a think about the location and return come the next decent moon. Many skylights adorn the buildings so the hope is the interiors will be somewhat illuminated.

I love the star trails in that first shot – very nice. I can’t believe how underexposed my shot from inside was, even running ten minutes wide open at high ISO.

Thanks. They were pasted in though :) Those trails are from Wivenhoe many years ago. The original sky was just a cream colored blankness.

    Deception!

Ah, Wivenhoe, how we loved your cracked earth, even if it did signal a certain lack of drinking water for the city.
