Wet ‘n’ Wild

Since it was hot we decided to set-up for some high speed in a parking garage some 5-10 degrees hotter than outside. Yay sweat! However one of us was fortunate enough to get drenched with water several times.

It was a twin flash setup this time using the all new and improved flash trigger. I am happy with the trigger now that it creates no technical issues of it’s own, it just works (unlike previous versions). Not much else to say really as the process has been well documented on other posts. We added the “person about to be drenched” factor and due to the increased sensitivity of the new trigger were able to pop balloons completely filled with water – previously the “puff” sounds these made were insufficient. This gave the spout of water extending up in the shots.

This one was actually popped by biting…well done Chris.

This was actually a test shot but I liked the inclusion of the of the poppers’ arms swinging through for the strike.

Always fun.

That second-last one, in the palm of the hand, is great!

Just looking at timestamps on the photos. They get less crisp as the evening progressed. I think this is due to ambient light levels in the garage increasing as various security lights came on outside.

Need a really dark place with a tap for this…

Yeah I like the composition of that one – its my hand. That one had actually sprung a leak while hanging and was popped with haste.
