City slickers

Not sure where we were going Thursday night I stepped out in my most fashionable tracksuit pants. As it turns out Chris, Sven and I headed to the city and I looked very stylish amongst the drunken suits etc.
UPDATE: This time I posted from my laptop where the pics look as intended but on my monitor they look over saturated!!! Arggg! Need to calibrate. Might post this pic again.

HDR was again a topic of conversation and the above shot is a five frame one. Just straight auto HDR with a little tone map tweaking and a bit of blue onto the sky. For comparison the normal exposure shown below.
It think it worked out quite well. Still, I increasingly feel that there are only select instances where HDR can be used effectively and once this current little HDR trend I am in ends it will be just another tool to be used where appropriate.

Well, I’m on a laptop here, and the first one looks good, and the second oversaturated and garish.
That’s how it looks on my monitors – I think my laptop is in need of some sort of calibration.
