Smelly feet

Can feet in thongs really create that bad an odour? Just one of the many lessons learned when Sven and I headed down the Gold Coast (as part of a visit to Sven’s brother) to the beachfront at Currumbin Rock.

Wet and Wild

Sven and I went to Fingal Point just across the border. Sven had been previously and felt the spot warranted another visit and I must say the rock formation on the head is quite spectacular – much like Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland. Tried hard to get a good image, though some things just never look as good as through the old eyeballs. It was quite windy out on the little connected island and Sven (and his gear) copped a soaking trying to get some wave crashing shots.

Sand and Sewage

The port area of Brisbane was Sven and my destination yesterday evening. We slowly drove the one lane, sometimes dirt roads leading out to the Pinkenba area looking for interesting subjects. Eventually we ended up at the edge of the river where a large sandy/muddy area was seemingly the place to come and do crazy 4WD things without leaving the city. So much so that two guys had bogged their ute and were waiting out there in the middle of nowhere for a pickup they expected to arrive…..at 1am!

Using a new WordPress theme I found (after much looking through a lot of rubbish). It is cleaner and has a load of options for altering the appearance, which should allow me more room (for bigger pics – always annoyed me) in future posts. Just have to work out how to put my banner image randomiser back in 
UPDATE: Done – but they need to be remade wider!

Motley Crew

Chris, Sven and I (with a new face on board – welcome Neil!) headed out to some standard city spots. With Sven now having another person using his inferior Nikon gear Chris and I immediately formed the Canon team. Firstly it was the good old story bridge park.
